This quote sums up the pain of hair fall. Beautiful and healthy hair not only look beautiful but they also reflect your physical and mental well being. A normal healthy individual has around 10,00,000 scalp hair. Ans it is normal to lose 50 to 100 strands of hair a day. Less than one per cent of hair is in the shedding phase at any one time. If you have more hair fall than that, then you need to worry about. Hair shedding and hair thinning are common problems among men and women both as the age passes.

Causes for hair loss include:- 

Mental stress

Illness (cancer)

Hereditary

Alopecia Arreata (hair loss in patches)

Nutritional deficiencies like Biotin, Iron, Zinc

Hormonal imbalances like in hypothyroidism, post-pregnancy hair loss.

Scalp infections.

If you have any  medical condition like alopecia, cancer, hypothyroidism then you need to consult a dermatologist/ Trichologist (Trichologists are specialists in the science of the structure, function and diseases of the human hair and the scalp)

With growing age, your hair growth slows and if you have more than normal hair fall at that time, it can lead to baldness. I also started losing more than normal hair a day. I could see a mesh of hair in my comb.  



I was so apprehensive that I didn't want to comb my hair. I was worried that I would loose more hair if I comb. 


Search and research:

I wanted a product for my hair which was organic, easy to use, not much expensive and yet effective that could give strength to hair follicles and nourishes the scalp. So, I came across a product by Biotique called Bio Mountain Ebony vitalizing serum for falling hair. I have already finished 4 bottles of it before writing the review.

About the product:

The brand claims that this is not a cosmetic product and it has therapeutic properties. It's an intensive hair growth treatment. It is made from 100 per cent botanical extracts. It is organic and preservatives free. It has 7 ingredients including Pudina oil, Neem bark, Kanchnar stem.

It is a water-based, non-sticky, easy to absorb and non-irritant formula which has an aroma of different fruits blended together.

How to use:

Unlike other hair serums available in the market which are applied over the length of the hair, this serum is to be applied over the scalp.

Pour a small amount of serum in your palm and apply it on your clean and dry scalp with your fingertips in a circular motion. It will take around 20 to 30 minutes to get absorbed. I usually apply it at night but it can be applied during the day time also.

My review:

As claimed by Biotique, there was no itching or irritation on my scalp. It did not feel sticky too. I could style my hair after 30 minutes.

But after finishing 4 bottles of it, I did not find any significant improvement but there were no side effects too. I would give it a 3-star rating out of 5.

It's a pocket-friendly product costing INR 139 for 120 ml. You can try this product because of it's organic and therapeutic properties. It may suit you and give better results. And, it is also made in India. It is available at:

    I am alsi using this product and it is very light in weight and then after that I can style my hair and most important I can use this any time in my daily routine.
