Kama Ayurveda Bringadi Intensive Hair Treatment Oil Review

Thousands of years ago, alternative medicine was followed in south-east Asia. It was based on the use of natural ingredients and was called Ayurveda. "Ayuh" means life and "Ved" means knowledge so the meaning of Ayurveda in Sanskrit is life knowledge. Ayurveda forms the basis of our lives. Today, Ayurveda is not only followed in India but worldwide. From kitchen to bathroom our houses have abundant natural products and there is one plant whose benefits I can never ignore, and that is Bhringraj or Bhringa. The botanical name of this plant is "Eclipta Alba".

Bhringraj has multiple uses. One of its main uses is that it revitalizes your hair. Although the importance of good healthy hair is known to all, I will mention the following quotes which really put it out best:-

"Hair is the crown you never take off"

and

"Never, never, never give up on your hair"

Bhringraj helps delay premature greying of hair. Bhringraj plant (Eclipta Alba) has stigmasterol and wedelolactone etc., which have liver protective, hair coloring, hair-growth promoting properties. There are many Bhringraj oils available in the market and I came across  an oil which claims that it conditions your hair naturally and it is Kama Ayurveda  Bringadi intensive hair treatment oil.

About the product: It has 9 natural ingredients including eclipta prostrata leaf extract. Sesame oil and milk decrease hair loss and indigo reduce premature greying of hair, liquorice prevents scalp infections, gooseberry boosts lush hair growth. The brand claims that it is 100 per cent authentic Ayurveda product and free from artificial preservatives, colorants, fragrances and petrochemicals.

My review

The color of the oil is dark brown. I did not find any pungent smell which we usually find in naturally made oils. In fact, it does have a mild earthy scent, which felt nice, calming. After massaging this hair into my scalp, I could notice the change in my hair color because of the dark brown color of this oil. I usually keep the oil overnight and wash hair in the morning. In Ayurveda bhringraj is called the ruler of the hair and that is what it doesThis oil gives lustre to my hair. It rejuvenates the hair and scalp. After application, I feel like I had got a hair spa treatment from Kerala. It helped in reducing my dandruff.

Bhringraj oil is a must-buy product in every house. tart this oil at young age and you won't suffer from premature greying. I would give this oil 4.5/5 star rating and it is also proudly made in India.

It is an upper segment hair oil available in 2 sizes. 100ml for  INR 675 and 250 ml for INR 1295. You can buy it from:
